 200 grams of cornstarch biscuit

100 grams of butter or margarine

For the filling:

400 milliliters of fresh, whey-free cream

250 grams of butter or margarine

 200 grams of refined sugar

 80 milliliters of condensed milk

For coverage and decoration:

200 grams of chopped dark chocolate

 1 can of whey-free cream

1 tablespoon of butter or margarine

 1 packet of calypso cookie

How to make Pie Dutch from Palmirinha:

To make this Palmirinha pie recipe, the first step is to prepare the base: crush the cookies and mix with the butter, using your hands, until you get a crumb.

Tip: Another option is to beat the biscuits and butter in a food processor.

Put this mixture in a false-bottomed pie pan and press it with a spoon to compress it well and stay smooth, only on the bottom and not on the sides. Reserve in the fridge.

Tip: To make it easier to unmold the pie, line the bottom and sides of the pan with parchment paper or plastic wrap.

To make the filling cream for the Palmirinha Dutch pie, with the help of an electric mixer, mix the butter and sugar until it turns into a whitish paste. Add the condensed milk and the cream, always beating, until you get a lump-free cream.

Tip: Taste it and, if you find it too sweet, add more sugar or condensed milk.

To assemble the Dutch pie, place the calypso cookies on the sides of the pan (with the chocolate part facing outwards) and add the cream. Smooth well and set aside in refrigerator until set.

Tip: If you want, you can form layers of cream and cornstarch biscuit or calypso as a pie filling.

When the cream of the pie is firm, prepare the topping: heat the cream without letting it boil, and add the chopped chocolate. Stir until chocolate is completely melted, add butter and mix.

Tip: If the chocolate doesn't melt completely, heat this mixture for a few seconds.

Pour this chocolate cream over the filling of Palmirinha's Dutch pie and reserve in the fridge until serving. Then cut this dessert into slices and enjoy!
